The 14,411 feet high Mt. Rainier can be seen from almost anywhere in Seattle - except on the not uncommon days when it is covered in clouds!

This old car is spending its retirement days outside the Longmire visitors center...

As we drove to Mount Rainier National Park the skies were ominously gray and when we arrived at Paradise Mount Rainier was shrouded by clouds.

Anthony, James and Carina ready for a little snow action :)

And they didn't wait very long!

The Paradise Inn and the beautiful backdrop looking away from Mt. Rainier. Paradise is situated at an elevation of 5,420 feet.

Any guesses who the target of this snowball might be? ;)

After some snowballing fun we headed into the visitor center and had a nice lunch looking out on the snow.

When we came out we found sunshine and the clouds moving away to reveal the summit of Mt. Rainier.

Hare is a nice view looking back at the visitor center.

More snow equals more fun! :)

Still time for a bit more fun before our feet got too cold!

Somebody had been busy building this little chap, though a little more sun and he will probably melt away...
